As we rounded a corner, I glanced over my shoulder, and it hit me.  The contrast was striking. The cool damp autumn morning was warmed by the bright, almost luminous, foreground trees. This was the type of setting I just had to paint, or have it haunt my memory forever. (Off-set lithograph printed from an original watercolor painting.)
